Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Create comprehensive communication plans that align with the institution’s goals and objectives. This includes internal and external communication.
Manage Public Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, draft press releases, and manage the institution’s public image. Cultivate relationships with local and national media outlets.
Content Creation: Develop and edit content for various communication channels such as newsletters, websites, social media, brochures, and other marketing materials.
Digital and Social Media Management: Oversee the institution’s digital presence, manage social media accounts, monitor online reputation, and engage with audiences across platforms.
Crisis Communication: Coordinate communication efforts during crises or emergencies, ensuring timely, transparent, and accurate information is conveyed to all stakeholders.
Internal Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the institution by providing staff, faculty, and students with regular updates, announcements, and news.
Event Promotion: Collaborate with different departments to promote events, conferences, and special programs, ensuring visibility and engagement through communication channels.
Brand Management: Ensure all communications are consistent with the institution’s brand and tone of voice, maintaining a strong and positive brand identity.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as parents, alumni, donors, and community partners through newsletters, reports, and direct communication.
Monitor Communication Effectiveness: Analyze and track the effectiveness of communication strategies through feedback, analytics, and engagement metrics, and adjust plans as needed.
Speechwriting and Presentations: Prepare speeches, presentations, and talking points for senior leadership at public events or meetings.
Collaborate with Academic and Administrative Departments: Work closely with faculty and staff to understand their communication needs and help convey information effectively to their respective audiences.
Manage Communication Tools: Oversee communication tools such as email systems, internal communication platforms, and content management systems (CMS).
Conduct Media Training: Provide training and support for faculty, staff, and administrators on handling media interviews and public speaking engagements.
